WTF?!? You have GOT to be kidding me!

But no, according to me sources, this was actually featured in Maxim magazine.

OH! I’m so sick! I’ve caught… *whispers* the feminism.

Happy Happy Pi Day! :D

Happy International Women’s Day!

The Voice: Christina Aguilara

She is AMAZING! She acts just like “a guy”; she’s unapologetic, loud, brash, bold, and out to get what she wants. LOVE HER!

Shakesville: Censoring Argument

To be perfectly honest, I’ve never been the biggest fan of Shakesville. There tends to be a holier-than-thou attitude to the posts, and that irks me to no end. However, a series of comments was brought to my attention on this post.

A whole bunch of mods ganged up on one commenter, Soporificat, banned her, and then left up her posts. Their empty assertions as to her “ableism” (which is obviously an important issue, but not one in which she was engaging in any way, shape, or form) was the last straw for me about this website, and I came to her defense, and, guess what? My response was promptly deleted, and my commenting ‘privileges’ revoked. I would have been 100% fine with them preventing me from commenting further, because at least they would be consistent, and I do understand keeping out certain commenters (not that I was being discriminatory in any way, but I mean as a general guideline), but, considering my comment merely reiterated Soporificat’s, deleting mine but not zie’s?  I wonder if I was the only one that came to Soporificat’s aid, or if other comments were deleted? I particularly wonder this since other people were allowed to comment bashing Soporificat after my [deleted] comment, so it’s not as if they were trying to put a stop to the argument.

Does anyone else see this as [advanced schoolyard] bullying?

Happy New Year from Boston! :)

I’m super excited for this year! For ages I’ve had “”Thomas Paine” (yeah, right), Class of 2012” written on practically everything, and now it’s finally here! whoo!!! *dances*
